Vicoletto, to say the least is a North Beach treat ; warm, inviting & the food is outstanding. Modern interior design meets traditional cuisine with a twist. From the moment you arrive the staff is very attentive, and the word around town is “you must try the risotto”. Vicoletto has a full bar & a small but nice wine selection, it is not a very large restaurant, so reservations are highly recommended.
Where to begin, with the array of choices on the menu? Of course the calamari is always heavenly and the Anatra ; duck leg confit, Swiss chard, carrots and orange vinaigrette won’t disappoint either. Fresh pasta abounds in this spot, Ravioli con Aragosta: house made lobster ravioli, Sautéed prawns and a cherry tomato brandy cream sauce, or the house made Lasagne are just a couple of favorites available nightly. Not in the mood for pasta? Vicoletto offers a local petrale sole with cannelloni beans, leeks and five beans, grilled salmon, a beautiful pan roasted Peteluma naturally raised half chicken, veal cutlets and a rosemary and balsamic marinated leg of lamb. Specials are also available, so one will always have a new surprise at this North Beach hot spot
Top off a great meal with Soffiato al cioccolato ,soufflé style chocolate cake with cre’me fraiche gelato, certainly wonderful with a cappuccino or espresso, dessert wines are also available. Other delicacies include a Pear tart with vanilla gelato, Raspberry panna cotta and of course the Tiramisu is out of this world! Vicoletto is open everyday 5:30 – 11:00 p.m and Saturday Brunch 11:00 a.m – 3:00 p.m / 550 Green Street Phone (415) 433- 5800 – www.vicolettosf.com
