3 tablespoons tomato sauce (ketchup) 3 tablespoons water 3 tablespoons white vinegar 4 tablespoons white sugar or raw brown sugar 2 teaspoons low sodium soy sauce or tamari sauce (gluten-free) 1½ teaspoons corn flour ½ teaspoon Fleur de Sel salt (or salt)
In a small pot over low heat, mix all the ingredients. Bring to a boil and allow the sauce to thicken. Remove from the heat, allow to cool, and serve.
This simple sauce is my favorite with eggrolls and dumplings, too.
