BBQ Short Ribs (Slow Cooker)

BBQ Short Ribs (Slow Cooker)

Serves 6 to 8

4 1b. beef short ribs
2 cups (16 oz.) of your favorite barbecue sauce
¼ cup honey
¼ cup flour
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 large “chopped” onion
Fresh ground pepper to taste

Place ribs in the slow cooker. Pour on the onions. Add the remaining ingredients and stir lightly to mix. Cover and allow the ribs to cook on low until they are tender (approximately 7 to 8 hours). Alternatively, cook the ribs on high (approximately 3 to 4 hours).

Once cooked, remove the ribs from the cooker and place them in a covered bowl to remain warm. Use a spoon to skim the excess fat from the sauce. Place the ribs back in the cooker and stir to coat them evenly with sauce.

This dish is best served with mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables.

Diva Tips:

• A crisp green salad and scrumptious cornbread are a fabulous choice for these beautiful Short Ribs.

• For those of you that are not fans of Dijon mustard, simply substitute yellow mustard.
