Crazy About Crab

Well my epicurean friends, it’s that glorious time of year again, Dungeness crab season! In my household, we get very excited to get our hands on these beauties and come up with creative ways to enjoy them. This Holiday season, I’m thinking of a warm, creamy crab dip; served as an appetizer along with an assortment of crackers or crostini. How about scrumptious crab bisque to really showcase the Dungeness crab flavor? OK, my mouth is watering already! Sometimes a simple way of preparing something is the best way and crab is no exception to the rule. Steaming them and serving warm melted butter for dipping is especially delicious. For our Holiday celebration, we like to make our crabs Asian style in a Wok, which is a very simple and scrumptious way to enjoy them. Personally, I like to serve crab alongside a big beautiful salad, a sourdough baguette, and (of course) a little Champagne for that Holiday toast! Finally, we’ll finish off the evening with my individual raspberry cobblers; easy, festive, and delicious!
